In this episode we speak with Kyle Wickert and Brian Bitter. Both of these men are veterans who have served our country with honor.
While both of them grew up in Wisconsin they never met until both their careers began in the military. Kyle and Brian both served together and met when they were stationed at Camp Bucca and Camp Taji I’m Iraq.
Kyle had got out of hunting for a while and recently restarted to hunt when Brian reached out to him about this hunt of a lifetime. Someone who had drawn a coveted unit 9 Arizona archery bull tag was unable to go and that tag was donated to the nonprofit Outdoor Experience 4 All. Kyle was asked as a disabled vet if he would like to go on a dream hunt and immediately said yes. Follow along as we listen to their story.

In this episode we speak with Austin Oeltjenbruns from Phoenix DU.
Austin is a devoted family man, follower of Christ and an entrepreneur with several successful businesses under his belt. All of this has led him to take an active role in growing the Phoenix chapter of Ducks Unlimited. He grew up in Colorado where his love for the outdoors began and one such business brought him to AZ.
Austin is the chairman for Phoenix Ducks Unlimited and was instrumental in growing this chapter and helped create several new raffles and get togethers which lead to bringing more awareness to conservation and habit restoration.

He grew up hunting in Washington state and now resides in Montana where he has honed his skills on stalking big game and has become one of the best backcountry public land archery hunters. Brian speaks about mental toughness, preparation and pushing the limits to be successful in low success scenarios. In this episode Corky and his father George speak about hunting Bison in AZ and the patience and determination it requires.
Corky speaks about how they helped changed the rules through AZGFD to allow archery hunting of Bison in the 90’s. Prior to that you could only harvest a Bison using a rifle.
Corky was lucky enough in 2002 to successfully harvest the world record archery Bison with a score of 132 4/8. Both of them talk about how their faith in Jesus allowed them to persevere during the very long and tiresome hunt and how it showed a good friend how faith triumphs everything.
